"The Bully Epidemic" A Television Documentary
Bullying statistics in the United States show that about one in four kids in the U.S. are bullied on a regular basis. Between cyber bullying and bullying at school, the school bullying epidemic illustrates a huge problem with bullying and school systems. The bullying statistics 2010 reveal that bullying is a crime out of control. There are about 160,000 children that miss school every day out of fear of being bullied. Bullying statistics 2010 also report an increase in cyber-bullying activities.

| Almost all of the studies found connections between being bullied and suicidal thoughts among children. Five different studies reported that bullying victims were two to nine times more likely to report suicidal thoughts than other children, depending on the severity of the crime.
It was also found that: "The perpetrators who are the bullies also have an increased risk for suicidal behaviors.” Suicide among bullied victims has increased at an alarming rate over the past ten years.
